It says you care, you want your child to do well and you want them to succeed.

Maybe even excel, and so they should.

It also says, you don’t have all the answers, and that’s okay, because I was like you when my children were younger, I didn’t have all the answers either.

So do you know what I did?

After leaving a career in Engineering, I trained as a secondary school teacher. Then, retrained as a primary school teacher and taught all the years from Nursery to Year 6. (Now I’m guessing that’s not something you want to do).

I also became certified in Psychology, Child Development, Neuroplasticity and SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities). Let’s not forget my TEFL qualification (Teaching English as a Foreign Language).

In addition, I became a private tutor and tutored children at a tuition centre, preparing them for their SATs, GCSEs and 11+ exams.

That has all taken me nearly 30 years! and I’ve taught thousands of children!

I know, because I now have two adult children in successful corporate jobs and my youngest – now aged 13, has been home-educated by me for the past 7 years, because she’s a school-refuser..
