The Parent Teacher × LEEDO — Official Charity Partnership
When you invest in your child's education through The Parent Teacher, you invest in a child who has no other way in.
Donate Now How It WorksLEEDO is a charity based in Dhaka, Bangladesh — working every day to get children off the streets and into school.
In Bangladesh alone, an estimated 3 million children are forced into labour through poverty — some as young as five years old. Instead of learning their ABCs, they are stitching garments, carrying bricks, or begging on the streets.
They are missing out on a childhood. Missing out on school. Missing out on a future.
But you and your child can help change that.
You give them love, opportunities, education, time. And sometimes — it still doesn't feel like enough. Sometimes they seem ungrateful. Entitled. Disconnected from how much they have.
You're not imagining it. And it's not your fault.
Research tells us that children who grow up without perspective struggle more — with gratitude, with resilience, with finding meaning. Not because they are bad children. Because they've never had a reason to look beyond their own world.
"Children don't develop empathy by being told to be grateful. They develop it by encountering real lives that are genuinely different from their own."
This is where LEEDO changes something. Not just for the children in Bangladesh. For your child too.
As parents, we worry when our child skips a meal, struggles with homework, or has a tough day at school.
Imagine if your child had to work ten hours a day, every day — just to survive.
When your child learns about the children LEEDO supports — their stories, their lives, their courage — something shifts. Perspective isn't something you can teach at the kitchen table. But it comes naturally when a child sees a real face, hears a real story, and understands that their action made a difference to that child's life.
That's when gratitude stops being a word — and becomes something they feel.
Supporting LEEDO does something measurable for the child doing the giving — not just the child receiving.
When children encounter lives genuinely different from their own, entitlement softens. Perspective is the only thing that reliably builds it — and this gives them that.
Children who contribute to something real — not a school project, but an actual child's life — discover that joy comes from giving, not just from receiving.
Being part of something bigger than themselves gives children a sense of agency. They realise their actions matter. That builds self-esteem in a way no reward chart can.
Acts of kindness and gratitude are proven to lower anxiety and improve emotional wellbeing. Children who practise giving regularly show stronger social skills and greater emotional intelligence.
Every time a family invests in their child's education through The Parent Teacher, a portion goes directly to children in Bangladesh who have no other way in.
10%of all proceeds from The Parent Teacher's educational products goes directly to LEEDO.
No overhead. No admin fee. Straight to the children.
This is why we do what we do.
Your support can give another child what every child deserves — a chance to learn, to dream, and just to be a child.
