Below you will find all the resources required to complete this week’s learning objectives.

Ask your child to do the Cold Tasks FIRST.
This will give you an idea of your child’s difficulties and level of understanding. Use the resources to help them learn and fill in any gaps.

At the end of all the activities. Give your child the Hot Task. This will re-test their understanding and learning and show you how much they have learnt. You can then help them overcome any further misunderstandings before they take the end of half term assessments.

The hot and cold tasks are short assessments done at the beginning and end of the week to check your child’s progress, through the week.

All the worksheets in this section do not need to be done in one day, but should be spread out throughout the week.

Use the spelling worksheets this wek to develop handwriting and to help your child learn the spellings too.

Your child should have a reading book that is suitable for their age and reading ability. Your child needs to be encouraged to “Read for Pleasure”. So encourage them to read to you for part of the week and read to them the rest of the week.

The reading comprehension, tests a child’s understanding and reading ability. If your child has understood what they have read, they should be able to answer the questions easily.

Use these worksheets to practice writing uppercase  or capital letters correctly, also lowercase letters making them sit ob the line. Also writing in sentences.
